With major construction projects, such as the 2012 Olympics, underway across the UK, the building and construction sector is expected to require an additional 90,000 to 180,000 new workers over the next four years. Many of these jobs will be for graduates.

Crossrail will provide a high speed rail network for London and the South East, with construction spanning 2010 to 2017. According to Transport for London, the network is expected to boost the UK economy by an estimated £36 billion. All of this means there will be a significant demand for civil, electrical, electronic and mechanical engineers, as well as surveyors, project managers and contractors.
