The Faculty of Advanced Technology provides first-class teaching, research and consultancy in a range of subject areas across the computing, mathematics, engineering, electronics engineering and built environment disciplines.
Our continually updated portfolio of courses spans a range of academic qualifications and is designed in consultation with industry and employers to ensure our students are prepared for a range of successful careers. Many of our courses are accredited by professional bodies, providing our graduates with exemptions from professional examinations. This is reflected in our excellent employment rates, with 95% of the Faculty’s graduates in full time work or further study within six months of graduation.
We have state-of-the-art facilities and continue to invest in their maintenance and development. While studying with us, you will use the same equipment and software as you would find in industry. Our links with industry are excellent and include collaborative partnerships and work placement opportunities for our students.
The Faculty has a distinguished record of research. This is reflected by our membership of the St David’s Day Group of research-active universities in Wales and was recognised by our strong performance in the last Research Assessment Exercise. Our research activities, knowledge and experience are incorporated into course curriculums to ensure that our courses are up-to-date, relevant and challenging.
