The Faculty of Advanced Technology provides first-class teaching, research and consultancy in Computing, Mathematics, Engineering, Electronics (including Lighting and Live Event) and the Built Environment.
Our continually updated portfolio of courses spans a range of academic qualifications and is designed in consultation with industry and employers to ensure our students are prepared for a range of successful careers. We have excellent employment rates, with 95% of the Faculty’s graduates in full time work or further study within six months of graduation. Many of our courses are accredited by professional bodies, providing our graduates with exemptions from professional examinations. We have state-of-the-art facilities and continue to invest in their maintenance and development. While studying with us, you will use the same equipment and software as you would find in industry.
We have excellent links with industry, including collaborative partnerships and work placement opportunities for our students. The Faculty has a distinguished record of research, and this was recognised by our strong performance in the last Research Assessment Exercise, and our membership of the St David’s Day Group of research-active universities in Wales.
